Among the Nordic countries, Sweden has the largest population. It is the third-largest country in the EU, and is separated from Norway by mountains, while connected to Denmark by a road and a bridge. Sweden’s economy’s most important areas in 2012 were public administration, defence, education, human health and social work activities (23.9 %), industry (19.9 %) and wholesale and retail trade, transport, accommodation and food services (17.6 %). Export is mainly done with Norway, Germany and the UK, while import is mainly done with Germany, Norway and Denmark.
